Speed Development for Runners
This fun and rewarding 7-week speed development program is designed to improve neuromuscular coordination, refine running form, and build fitness.
You will develop a keen sense of exercise intensity and RPE (rating of perceived exertion) over the course of this program. Ideal for current runners who want to spice up their training and get faster! This program can be especially effective for long-time runners who are frustrated by slower times as they hit middle age. These sessions can be run on the track, but they can also be run on the road or on trails (non-technical trails).
With three sessions each week, this program can be adapted somewhat based on current fitness, but it is not meant as an off-the-couch program or for those brand new to running. A solid running base is necessary to get the most out of this program. Speed work has a way of lighting up nagging injuries.
